Rebecca Frazier is a Director, Choreographer, Writer and Teaching Artist based in New York City.

She's most excited about directing and developing new plays and new musicals.

Her body of work includes National Tours, Off Broadway, Regional Theater, Summer stock, Film, Music Video, and more. She's served as an Associate Director in addition to leading her own creative spaces.

As a Director, Rebecca enjoys collaborating with playwrights, guiding and shaping new work from page to action on stage, and reimagining existing works as well. Rebecca holds a BA in English and Technical Theater, and a Masters Degree in Secondary Education. Combining text analysis, practical and visually stimulating staging, and communication and collaboration with actors in the rehearsal room, Rebecca is a sought after emerging director.

Rebecca's choreography and movement for musicals is purposeful, authentic to story and character, and often steeped in historical research and accuracy. Her choreographic lens-"who are these people, and why do they move?" serves to create musical theater dance to aid, not hinder, storytelling advancement. Rebecca focuses on visual impact within her staging and choreography, utilizing the entire space to inform the world, while also building character and actor driven movement-a character's movement quality and ability directly informs the direction of the show.

As a Teaching Artist, Rebecca's classes at world renowned Steps on Broadway and Broadway Dance Center are filled with dancers working towards strong technical dancing, effective storytelling through movement, and fostering a strong sense of community in a world and career that often feels isolating and overwhelming.
